New York is a city that
captivates its visitors and also the producers of films and other filming
products. The vocation of headquarters for filming of films is almost natural
for the city of skyscrapers. Since the first video camera existed, New York was
chosen to become part of the story.

film history is much older.
It is known
that since the early twentieth century, this city was recorded and went down in
history as part of the story itself
One of the
earliest on-location efforts to present a story on screen was shot on Aug. 21,
1901, for Edison: “What Happened on Twenty-Third Street, New York City,”
starring Alfred C. Abadie and Florence Georgie. It was an actuality film with a
short staged scene.
