Former President Donald Trump received the first Champion of
Freedom award from the Senate Republican National Committee, the organization
announced Monday.
Former Florida Governor Sen. Rick Scott presented Trump with
the award in Palm Beach for nominating three Supreme Court justices, lowering
taxes on the middle class and protecting the southern border, the NRSC said in
a statement.
He said the award recognizes "conservative leaders who
have worked tirelessly to create good jobs, protect the values that make our
country great, and stop the Democrats' socialist agenda."
"President Trump is a proven champion for all
Americans," said Scott, the president of the NRSC.
