The North Carolina Supreme Court issued an explosive ruling
allowing Republicans in the state to redraw the lines of Congress in a way that
heavily favors the Republican Party.
Republicans could potentially get four more seats in the US
House of Representatives after the North Carolina state Supreme Court ruled in
their favor, Politico reported.
“The current map, which was installed after the state
Supreme Court struck down a map approved by the legislature, could lead
Republicans to up to four House seats in 2024.
The state Supreme Court now has a conservative majority
after last fall's election, and the court recently agreed to review its earlier
decision,” the Washington Examiner previously reported.
