Bolivian President Rodrigo Paz affirmed that his government
will act firmly to guarantee respect for the Constitution and preserve the
country's institutional stability in the face of any attempt at political
pressure or destabilization.
During a message to the nation, the president maintained
that no minority can impose its will on the national will or use pressure
tactics to undermine the democratic functioning of the State. In this regard,
he emphasized that his administration will not permit abuses or actions that
jeopardize the constitutional order.
Rodrigo Paz assured that his government will maintain a firm
stance against sectors that, he said, seek to generate political and social
confrontation to weaken institutions. He also defended the legitimacy of his
administration and reiterated that the country's decisions must be made within
the legal and democratic framework established by the Bolivian Constitution.
The president alluded to the persistent political tensions
in Bolivia and the differences with groups linked to the political left and
former president Evo Morales, a figure who continues to wield influence within
certain social and political sectors of the country.
In this context, Rodrigo Paz asserted that he will not allow
partisan interests or political leaders to disrupt governance or create
instability. He added that his administration will remain focused on
maintaining institutional order, strengthening democracy, and ensuring peaceful
conditions for the population.
