Israeli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed that he maintains a broad political
alignment with US President Donald Trump, stating that both leaders agree on
"virtually everything" regarding the main issues on the bilateral
agenda and the challenges facing the Middle East region.
During
public remarks, Netanyahu emphasized the close relationship between the two
governments and noted that the understanding between Washington and Jerusalem
continues to strengthen on issues considered strategic, such as cooperation in
security, defense, intelligence, and foreign policy.
The Israeli
leader maintained that the talks held with Trump reflect a shared vision on
various matters of common interest, including regional stability, the fight
against extremist organizations, and the strengthening of the alliance between
the two nations, considered one of the strongest on the international stage.
Netanyahu
also affirmed that support for the United States extends beyond the
governmental sphere and enjoys broad support among the Israeli population.
According to him, the majority of Israeli citizens maintain a favorable
perception of the relationship with Washington and recognize the role the
United States has played for decades as one of Israel's main political, diplomatic,
and military allies.
The prime
minister's remarks come amid close coordination between the two governments on
various international policy issues, while talks continue regarding security in
the Middle East and other matters of strategic interest to both
administrations.
