Population of the Chinese city of Wuhan (central), where
the new coronavirus was identified in December, are being allowed to resume
work while public transport resumes after two months of confinement.
This lifting of restrictions comes as the Health Ministry
did not announce on Monday any new cases of contamination for the fifth
consecutive day in this metropolis of 11 million inhabitants, and the
birthplace of the current pandemic.
However, 39 additional imported cases were reported from
China as a whole.
Wuhan residents who are in good health can move within the
city, and take a bus or subway once their identity card has been presented,
authorities said.
They can also return to their workplaces if they have an
employer-issued permit and are authorized to leave Wuhan to travel to other
parts of Hubei province, of which they are a part, if they have been found
negative by the covid tests. -19 and are holders of a medical certificate.
The spread of the coronavirus in this metropolis generated
its quarantine on January 23. Almost all the other cities in Hubei applied the
same measures.
