Panama Raises $ 1.3 Billion Funding to Support Emergency Coronavirus Jobs




Panama raised funds of $ 1.3 billion from various international organizations to stimulate job creation in the face of the coronavirus emergency by supporting small producers and companies, President Laurentino Cortizo reported Tuesday.

The funds come from the International Monetary Fund, an organization of the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

Panama registered 102 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, bringing the country's total to 3,574 cases. Authorities also confirmed one more death, bringing the death toll from the virus to 95.
