Vadim Subbotin, deputy head of Roskomnadzor (the Russian federal body in charge of monitoring the media), said on Tuesday that the ban would go into effect unless Twitter complied with Putin's government's demands.

 

“Twitter is not reacting to our requests as it should. If the situation continues, it will be blocked in a month without the need for a court order, '' Subbotin said.
