75% of Americans support a law requiring voter identification

The controversial presidential elections held in the United States last year had a profound impact on citizens, to the extent that now 75% of those surveyed by the Rasmussen company support a law that requires the identification of voters.

This was revealed by the results of the national poll in which 89% of Republicans support this requirement, as do 60% of Democrats and 77% of voters who are not affiliated with the main parties, Breitbart reported on 17 of March.

In this sense, Democratic legislators would be trying to go against the overwhelming will of the majority of Americans, since they already passed the controversial bill H. R. 1 For the People Act in the House of Representatives.

Analysts believe that the possible HR 1 law, which should now go through the Senate to be considered and voted on, "would force states to allow anyone who simply signs a form saying they are who they say they are to vote," which would imply a serious risk to electoral integrity.
