Texas prepares law to limit censorship of social networks

Through his social networks Greg Abbott, the Republican governor of Texas has announced that he is working on a bill that limits Big Tech in the censorship it applies to its users when they are not aligned with the interests and political ideologies of the networks.

The governor's text is consistent and decisive: "We are working with Senator Hughes on legislation to prevent social media providers like Facebook and Twitter from canceling conservative speech."

Texas follows the path that Florida began a few days ago and other states are expected to follow suit. Because coincidentally, governors and legislators do not want to allow freedom of expression to be violated by social networks, in particular Facebook and Twitter, which have not stopped in the pretense of allowing only publications related to their own political interests.

The measures will cover all social networks that are enriched by the use of your product and limit the right of users to express themselves freely: “We have already started. We have a lawsuit against Google that focuses on some of the issues about their domain, about how they abuse consumers, how they take their private information, don't pay these consumers, and then use that information to earn billions of dollars without let the consumer really know how their private information will be used, ”said Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
