Just hours before Congress passed a landmark $ 1.9 trillion COVID-19 aid bill on Wednesday, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene posted a video on social media complaining that the package pays "repairs" to black farmers excluding "the other races" and keeps the United States "enslaved" to China and Japan by creating more national debt.
The Georgia Republican congresswoman's inflammatory
comments, and on false premises, came on the heels of the House voting against
her motion to adjourn before the pivotal vote on the coronavirus aid package.
"I hope you are not disappointed in your Republican
representative," Greene said Wednesday after dozens of House Republicans,
who have grown weary of his characteristic but completely ineffective stalling
tactic on Democratic legislation, voted with the Democratic majority in favor
of the motion to adjourn the session.
"And if you find out that they voted with the
Democrats, I hope you will call or email them or call their office or send them
a letter and let them know how you feel about voting no."
"He does everything possible to help the
illegals," said the congresswoman, referring to undocumented immigrants
living in the United States.
